Hello, delegates! My name is Aahan Gandhi
General Assembly 2 - SOCHUM
Nandini Vadarevu - Vice Chair
Hi!! I’m Nandini and this year I am a junior here at Vista.I began MUN in my freshman year, and since then I have been lucky enough to attend different conferences such as VMUNC, DMUNC, and BMUNC. Through these conferences, I have gained so many meaningful and fun experiences, so I can’t wait to chair for you guys at VMUNC this year! In my free time I like to hang out with my friends, read books, and listen to music. Some of my favorite artists include The Weeknd and Franck Ocean. I also love the movie How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. The best advice I can give to anyone participating in MUN is to believe in your own knowledge. Each and everyone of you has (hopefully) researched and prepared to the best of your ability, so don’t doubt yourself. If you are confident in what you know, everything will go great! Just remember, this is about having productive conversation and of course, fun!
Anushka Reddy - Vice Chair

Through these experiences, I have enjoyed the opportunity to grow as a speaker, learn from others, and engage in meaningful discussions on global issues. Outside of MUN, I love reading and playing the piano, and I also enjoy learning more about health and biology. Some of my favorite artists are TV Girl and Steve Lacy, and my favorite movie is Rush Hour 2. My advice for newcomers to MUN is to not be afraid of speaking up. Everyone starts somewhere, and the more you put yourself out there, the more confident and prepared you will become.
Anoushka Rajeshkumar - Vice Chair
Hi delegates! Hi! I’m Nandika, an incoming junior at Vista del Lago and I’ve been involved in Model UN since freshman year. I’ve attended conferences like VMUNC V, BMUN, and DMUNC, participating in both GA and specialized committees. Last year, I served as a vice chair for VMUNC VI’s specialized committee, and I’m excited to be head chair for GA #2 this year! Outside of Model UN, I love volleyball, biking, and anything outdoors, but I also love shows like Twenty-Five Twenty-One and Happiness, and enjoy listening to Pink Pantheress, Ariana Grande, and Seventeen! My biggest advice to delegates: be confident! Even if you’re not fully prepared, keep raising your placard, making motions, and speaking. Even if you speak a little and mess up, you’ll still be a better delegate than you were yesterday! Also, don’t be intimidated by power delegates in unmods; keep sharing your ideas and include others. Focus on the experience more than the outcome and have fun!

My biggest advice to all delegates is don’t be shy. Ask questions, speak up when something feels right, and respond how your character or country would in the moment. At the end of the day, we’re all here to learn something. See you there!
